Weekend Roundup: March 2, 2012

Just over a week until Daylight Savings time begins for those who observe it, and around three weeks until the official start of spring.

It’s been a mild winter, but regardless of that, some signs of spring are always welcome and I, for one, am really looking forward to it this year!

Here are some great articles I have read of late as well as some blog carnivals whose hosts were kind enough to include my articles:

Have a great weekend!

  1. Thanks for including my post! Also, I really wish you hadn’t reminded me about Daylight Saving Time – it makes me want to cry to think about getting up earlier! But I am looking forward to the longer days. 🙂

    • Yeah, it’s just starting to get light out when I arrive for work, so the DST will throw that off again for a few weeks, but I was just commenting to my wife the other day around 8pm (the kids bedtime) that in just a few weeks, it’ll be light at that time.

  2. Thanks for the link Beagle!

I didn’t realize DST was coming up so soon, that is great! This winter has been amazing, I wonder how the plants and such will be affected.

    Have a great weekend!

    • I was wondering about that yesterday. I know last year we had a blanket of snow almost all winter, which I wrote a post about how that’s good for the grass. I know the squirrels have been digging more than usual in the backyard but I’ve sort of given up that battle regardless.

  3. Thanks for the mention! I’m so glad you mentioned Daylight savings too! My mom told me on Friday that it was supposed to be this past weekend which didn’t sound right at the time and I totally forgot to go check when the correct date is. I’m glad now I know, thanks! Have a great week! -Sydney
