Easy And Amazing Biscuits

You rarely see recipes or anything really to do with cooking on here, but this is one item I had to share.  These may be the best homemade biscuits I’ve ever tasted, and they’re so easy too.

Mrs. Beagle makes these.  What do they go with?  Anything!

You’ll need:

2 cups of Bisquick
1/2 cup of sour cream
1/2 cup of 7-UP
1/4 cup of melted butter

What to do:

  1. Preheat your oven to 450
  2. Melt the butter
  3. Mix Bisquick and sour cream
  4. Add the 7-UP to the mix.
  5. Sprinkle a little Bisquick onto your rolling surface.  Pat the dough out.  Don’t knead it or use a roller, just use your fingers.
  6. Pour the butter into a 9×9 baking pan
  7. Cut 9 biscuits into circles (or just place balls evenly around the pan)
  8. Bake for 12 minutes or until they turn light golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool for five minutes

For me, the hardest part is the last instruction.  It’s hard to wait even that long!

These are so simple that even I could do them!

  1. Thanks for the recipe Mrs. Beagle. I use Bisquick for waffles and pancakes but never thought about trying to make biscuits. This will be apart of dinner tonight. Never up 7-up in biscuits before. I wont tell anyone and see if they like it.

  2. Oh yeah! Good to eat.

I’ve used sour cream in biscuit recipes (though I make mine from scratch — it’s not very hard and much better than the boxed stuff). Also yogurt. Also a little heavy cream. Any of them make a wonderful, moist product. Toooo delicious.

But 7-up? Maybe not so much… blich.
